Your Writing Circle, and other news
Okay, so it’s been a while now since my last blog. I know… where has LW been? Is he alive? Where is the next book? These are questions I have been hearing from many of my readers. So let me quench your curiosity. Yes, I am still alive. Amongst other things, I have been hard at work writing. But more about the writing a little bit later.
The past year or so has been busy beyond belief. Further still, I have had to shake off some dead weight within my writing circle. Without elaborating too much, it took me some time to muddle through who in my writing circle was influencing me in a positive productive way, and who wasn’t. This process, I can only describe as painful. Giving birth to a cactus would have been easier. But it had to be done, and I have to get back to a place where I could fully focus on writing. Thankfully, that time has passed and I’m now back in my element. I guess the lesson I have relearned over the past year or so is that you should be careful who you let within your writing circle. Let the wrong people in and you could lose months or even years of your precious writing time. Some influences may appear positive at fist, but eventually you find that they are working against your goals behind your back—and some in a malicious way. Seeing this is difficult at first, but when the sun finally comes up over the horizon and you see what is going on, you wonder why you had been so blind to the facts to begin with.
So what’s going on with my writing? Good news is what’s going on. I have completed the final edit on book II of the Redemption Kills series. The name of this new book is The Babylon Coordinates, and you can be sure that I will keep you all posted on exactly when it will be released. In the meantime you will have to satisfy yourself with a blurb, which you can find on my website here @ http://lwwedgwood.wix.com/lwwedgwood
The Babylon Coordinates, or BC as my favourite editor has gained a habit of calling it, takes the Redemption Kills story to the next level and beyond. I feel confident that a difference with this book will be seen within the quality of the writing, the much refined plot line, and the well developed narrative. These being aspects that have come with experience and time, much as with any other established writer deals with in their early carrier.
So to wrap stuff up for the moment, stay away from the soul sucking parasites that plague the path of any successful journey. Learn to recognize these parasites quickly. And, oh yes, stay tuned for my next bog and my next book.
Thanks for reading all.
Goodbye for now, L.W.Wedgwood.
